As we all know, the last year has been a difficult one for both stocks and bonds. In addition, rising interest rates and inflation have put a bite into our purchasing power. As if that weren’t enough, talk of a recession is a constant media topic. It’s times like these that we find it helpful to put today’s economic and investment environment into perspective by reviewing the history of investing relative to where we are today. We’ll do just that in this year’s Market Briefing.

As in years past, we will provide an updated overview of the history of investing, adding 2022 to that context. Then we will look forward into 2023 and beyond and wrap up with a question-and-answer period.
