The 5-10 years before you retire are critical for planning to meet your retirement goals. There are a lot of moving parts to this life change, so you likely have questions, such as: Am I financially ready to retire? How do I make my portfolio last my lifetime? How do I take money out of my retirement accounts? What do I need to know about Social Security? What taxes do I need to be aware of in retirement? To address these questions and provide financial information about retirement, Margaret Gooley, CFP®, CDFA® will host a Retirement Planning workshop..
Because we know retirement isn’t just about finances, Dr. Ellen W. Miller will speak about the biopsychosocial aspects of transitioning into retirement, giving us insights into managing the changes encountered in this uncharted period of life. She will address questions like: How can I prepare for the transition from work life? How do I find a purpose after retirement? Dr. Miller retired in June 2022, after 32 years at the University of Indianapolis. At the University, she served as the Executive Director of the Center for Aging & Community for over 20 years, working to enhance the quality of life for all people as they age.
