On July 17, 2015, Juli volunteered with the Hendricks County Antique Tractor & Machinery Assoc. at the Hendricks County Fair. She drove a shuttle for fairgoers then worked the registration table for the kid tractor pull. It was a fun day!
Juli and her husband, Russ, along with a small group from their church, spent Sunday morning weeding a garden plot for Why Not Today. This non-profit organization raises cattle and chickens, and grows fruits and vegetables in several Hendricks County locations. The beef, eggs and produce are then donated to food pantries for those in need.
Saturday was the annual Mutt Strut 2015! Our corporate team raised $1640 for the Humane Society of Indianapolis! As you know, our company matched that amount and sent a donation to Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana.
It was spectacular to see the dogs and participants walk the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The wagging tails that gather for this cause highlight the importance of the dogs (and cats) in our lives. What an inspiration!
On Saturday, September 13th, Juli spoke to 30 of her daughter's sorority sisters at IU. Juli presented a Financial Top 10 List to encourage sound financial decisions.
Juli was one of the panelists at the Women Like Us Symposium on August 13, 2014.
Rana and her team walked a 5K for a charity benefiting NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), an organization that helps those with mental illness and their families. Her team was able to raise over $1,000! Way to go!

We are one of the sponsors for Wine, Women & Shoes, a fundraiser to benefit Gleaners. As a volunteer for Gleaners, Juli has learned a lot about the wonderful work they do to feed the hungry in Central Indiana. Juli, Pam, Elizabeth and Bonnie attended the event and had an opportunity to sip fine wines, shop for shoes and accessories and bid on auction items.
On December 18th, Pam Smitson, our very own CPA, was recognized for six years of service and leadership on the Board of Directors for Women In Business Unlimited, Inc. During her term, Pam served as Treasurer, Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, and on various other committees, including the ATHENA® award committee and Catalyst for Empowering Women educational symposium.

The Catalyst for Empowering Women was held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. This annual conference focuses on encouraging, empowering and engaging women in all walks of life and at all career levels. As a board member of Women In Business Unlimited Muncie, the organizer of this event, Pam Smitson was a key coordinator for the symposium. Grace Worley was a speaker and delivered the message of “Finding Financial Security in 2012”, and Juli Erhart-Graves had the honor of being the liaison for Moira Forbes, the keynote speaker. Juli said after the conference, “I appreciate the work Moira is doing to empower and inspire women worldwide, and it was wonderful that Catalyst could bring her message to women in Central Indiana.” It was a successful day with many stories of inspiration and opportunity resulting from the conference.
In addition to her many roles outside the office, Pam Smitson finds her position as a Girl Scout Troop Leader to be among the top of importance. She is passionate about teaching children, which includes her daughter, the essential skills of life the Girl Scout Troop provides and gives much of her free time to this worthy organization.
