Lacey Richey began her career as a full-time accounting intern and part-time staff accountant before she graduated college. Since then, she has focused her career path on the tax field because she enjoys helping clients navigate the ever-changing tax law so they can make informed decisions now and for their future. She enjoys learning and expanding her knowledge base to help better understand the world of tax as it continues to evolve.

Lacey’s role at Smitson Erhart-Graves involves communicating directly with clients about tax planning, researching tax questions and preparing both individual and multi-state tax returns.

Lacey graduated from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a concentration in finance. She received a graduate certificate in accounting in 2022 and is in the process of obtaining her CPA designation.

Lacey is mother to daughter, Ilah, and has four fur babies: Neña (Chihuahua), and cats Molly Renee, Taco and Max the Grump. She enjoys spending time with her husband finding a new coffee shop to try every Sunday. Lacey loves to cook, bake, and read (when she gets the chance!).
