Margaret Gooley, CFP®, CDFA®

Vice President and Financial Planner

Margaret Gooley is a planner at heart and gained an interest in financial planning at the start of her career in financial services. Beginning in the industry in 2007, shortly before the Great Recession began in 2008, Margaret brings a unique perspective on the markets and planning for both the best and worst of times. Watching how the recession impacted the people in her family, and their varying reactions to the market storm, helped her gain a passion for helping clients toward the goal of financial independence. Margaret especially loves having an impact on her clients’ financial wellbeing.

Margaret enjoys learning about each client’s unique situation and how she can help them achieve their goals. She provides fee-only, comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to clients. Margaret creates fully customized financial plans that will address all areas of her clients’ financial lives and presents them in a way that her clients can understand. Periodic follow ups help to ensure that clients are on track to meet their goals.

In addition to financial planning, Margaret helps clients under our investment advisory services by creating sound investment plans to help take the burden out of investing. Once she has learned about her clients’ individual goals and risk tolerances, she can develop a globally diversified, low cost portfolio of investments suited to each client’s circumstances.

Margaret is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional, a member of the Financial Planning Association, and a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a degree in Business Administration. She has worked with clients in all stages of their financial lives, helping them plan for their future and make sound investment decisions.

Outside of work, Margaret loves to spend time with her husband, Ryan, and their two doodle dogs, Winston and Ella. She likes to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends. In addition, Margaret serves as a volunteer on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Indiana.
