Q. Favorite place traveled and why?

A. That would be my high-school graduation gift to myself.  At 18, three girlfriends and I were hanging out when someone threw out the idea of backpacking through Europe. So, we saved our money, and the following summer we flew to London and took a hovercraft to Paris. We traveled through seven countries with our backpack, sleeping bag, and sheer determination. We had the time of our lives.

Q. Interesting fact about yourself.

A. I think some of the mothers can relate to this. My parents had two sets of twins in two years. Four kids can be a lot. I am part of the second set. I will tell you that I did my fair share of complaining growing up and I was not shy about letting my mom know how she could have done things better.

Fast forward 28 years and I’m pregnant with twins and I already have a one-year old. I called my mom and asked if she had been wishing something on me. She was confused and asked me what I meant. I told her I was having twins and she could not stop laughing. I finally had to hang up the phone.

Q. Who or what shaped you as who you are today?

A. That is a tough question. Of course, my parents and siblings had a big impact on who I am today, but I also think growing up in the 60’s and 70’s in a middle-class neighborhood just outside Chicago played a part. There was a lot going on politically during that time, but what caught my attention most was the massive inflation of the 70’s. It scared me enough to make me get a degree in Finance and minor in Economics.

Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?

A. My favorite part of my job is getting clients invested appropriately! Once they are on the right investment track, their goals are obtainable. I also work with a great group of really smart women.
