Women's History Month - Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories - Juli Erhart-Graves' Story

Grace Worley is the woman that has had the biggest impact on my life. I can truly say I would not be where I am today if not for her.

I was a single mother working full time and going to school part time for a business degree. I remember interviewing with her for a position at her firm in early 1995. I didn’t get the job. Lucky for me, Grace called me a few months later when they had an opening for their office manager position. After learning about the financial planning career, I knew that’s what I wanted to do, so I was very excited to get my foot in the door while I was still getting my degree.

Over the years, Grace was always supportive in helping develop my career. She gave me guidance and pushed me outside my comfort zone when it was needed. She took me under her wing yet also let me figure things out on my own and be my own person.

One of the things I respect most about Grace is how she has always lived out the advice she gave to others. In fact, years ago when we were developing the firm’s core values after her retirement, “practice what we preach” was at the top of the list. To this day, I want my life to be an example for others like she has been to me.
